2020 Ticino: Our personal Guide
Having developed a love for Ticino since we bought a house in the canton in 2020, we feel we're in a unique position as "Stranieri" (foreigners) to offer a perspective on the canton that locals can't.
This is not a criticism of the locals, more an observation that, after living in a place for a long time the place becomes normalised and people the beauty they see every day somehow becomes less special. This is where a "clean pair of eyes" really comes into it's own.
This site offers insights into Our Ticino. Our accompanying 2020vision site tells the story of our arrival and ongoing property renovation project in Valle di Blenio.
Using the site
What we provide:
- Information about Venues (places to eat, things to see) grouped into categories
- Our Event Calendar is aimed at visitors who want to do join events whilst they are here. It provides approximate dates for annual events together with links to organisers sites where you can get further information.
- We are developing a series of recommended walks, each with supporting information. As we walk these routes we will collect tracking data and add this to the walk pages.
