We came across Ajo Prodotti Tipici Sardi by accident whilst driving along Lago Lugano to Porlezza.
At first glance we weren't sure it was open. After some exploration Nando and Simona greeted us with open arms (in or pidgin Italian - if that's a thing).
It is like visiting their living room, surrounded by Sardinian produce. Their daughter, Viola, was sitting at one of the tables doing her homework.
They serve tasty Sardinian fare, a minimal menu well prepared at a good price.
It has become a regular stop for us when driving along the lake.
