Brando and Celine at Salotto Brè

Since February 2024, my friends have been running this amazing little spot, Ristorante Salotto Brè, right up in Monte Brè above Lugano, and honestly, it’s such a special place with seasonal food throughout the year. 

There are four of them behind it all: 

Vera, the incredibly talented chef from Lake Garda who’s been passionate about cooking since she was a kid and brings this beautiful mix of tradition and creativity to every dish. 

Danilo, extremely talented chef with roots in Southern Italy who’s worked all over Europe and makes food that’s simple but never boring.

Brando, the business mind of the group who’s lived across Europe and brings his international experience into everything they do. Goes above and beyond with the best service!

Celine, who grew up between California and Switzerland, travelled the world as a flight attendant, and now pours her love for hospitality and people into creating such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. 

Together, they’ve built something that feels both thoughtful and personal, and you can really tell it’s their passion when dining here, whether thats for their delicious brunch, an easy lunch, a cosy dinner or just for some of their freshly made ice cream! 

Their brunch menu is most delicious, with it being both a set brunch menu avilable and the option to take whatever you like if you want just a dish or two.

As for their lunch, snacks and dinner options - we always enjoy what they have. They rotate their menu based on the seasonal ingredients and it never disappoints.
