If you’re ever near Melide in Ticino, I can genuinely recommend a visit to Swiss Miniatur.
Walking through the park feels a bit like stepping into a tiny version of the whole country. I loved seeing all the famous Swiss landmarks recreated in such detail, with little trains and cars moving through the landscapes and boats crossing miniature lakes. You can even spot a snowy gondola heading up one of the mini-mountains!
The place is great for those with kids, but also relaxing and fun to visit at any age. There are lots of details in every building and mini location, so you'll be noticing something new every where you look.
When at the entrance, they will give you a little book explaining each location you can find, all numbered along the way. You can also enjoy the local cafe inside the park as well as the gift shop.
