A great place for all of the family,
The recently restored cable car is located next to Splash & Spa, about 300 meters from Rivera-Bironico railway station.
At the top (Alpe Foppa) there is:
- Ristorante Alpe Foppa serving typical Swiss mountain food,
- A play area next to s small lake
- An all year round toboggan run
- And for the more adventurous, a zip line
There is also the Chapel of Santa Maria degli Angeli, an interesting structure with great view points. The stairs at the chapel end don't have hand rails so need to used with care.
The area is largely accessible although the trails from the top station are gravel, some are probably okay for push chairs, not sure about wheelchairs though.
