Old Friends
Val Sole was one of the first restaurants we visited after buying our house in The Valley. Since then it has changed hands a couple of times. We had a single encounter with the second owner and didn't return.
It it is now in the very capable hands of Nitesh and Varsha Gandhi! It has again become one of Our Places.
Traversa village meal
We where reintroduced to Val Sole at a Traversa Village Meal. when we entered the restaurant a familiar face greeted us in English!
Being completely out of context it took Pete a few minutes to recognise Nitesh. We had worked together at a now defunct bank in Zurich when Pete first arrived in Switzerland in 2006. The world is indeed a small place.
We had a splendid meal with the Traversa locals and Perla Val Sole is firmly back on our list of venues to visit.
