Vin & Co

Roman cuisine with a beautiful welcome.

Our Second Visit

We found Vin & Co by accident and we're very glad we did!

Our initial experience was very good. We stopped for a drink whilst walking home, the drink turned into a wine tasting journey and dinner. Emma and I shared a plate of meat balls in tomato sauce which were exceptional.

It was our second time there that really got our attention. As we walked in, Sandro (front of house) and Alessandro (chef) both welcomed Emma and I by name. Remarkable as our previous visit was between six and eight weeks earlier.

Their welcome is exceptional, as is their attention to detail. The menu changes frequently. My only criticism is that I have not been back when the meatballs where on the menu!

Open from 06:30 for breakfast on week days and late on Thursday and Friday they keep long hours. No matter how busy they are they always make time to welcome customers and find time for a chat. With it's Roman kitchen and great atmosphere it is a really cool place to be!

Vin & Co is a little bit outside of the city centre. It is, however, well worth the short walk for a visit.

NB: During July and August Vin and Co has shorter opening hours (07:00 to 15:00 Monday to Friday). They are CLOSED for two weeks in August (2026 from Friday 7/8, reopening on 17/8).

Food and Drink aside, there is also Petrol...

We have found we share an passion for four wheeled toys. Sandro is into extreme off road driving with his 1986 Land Rover.

Named after Fanny (Fawkes), Albus Dumbledore's Phoenix in the Harry Potter films. A Phoenix rising from the ashes, and that's how my Land was when I went to pick it up in Sicily. It was destroyed, with rust holes big enough to fit a hand in. 😪

With patience and a six year labour of love, I slowly rebuilt her on a limited budget, piece by piece. The bodywork isn't perfect yet because it costs a lot, but now she mechanically and technically perfect.
